4-Day Mt Kenya Climb Sirimon Route | Rough North Kenya
The Sirimon Route is widely regarded as the most scenic and enjoyable ascent of Mount Kenya, situated on the drier, northwestern side of the mountain. This route offers gentle gradients, breathtaking views, and superior walking conditions compared to other trails. It begins near Nanyuki town and features excellent access roads and the best bunkhouse facilities on this flank of the mountain.
Although the summit (Point Lenana) can technically be reached in 4 days, we strongly recommend an additional overnight acclimatization stay in Nanyuki town before the trek. This optional extra night significantly improves comfort and success rates.
